Framework for measuring social, economic & environmental impacts of SNH activity

Reviewing and analysing SNH activity; Reviewing and analysing the effects of designation; Reviewing relevant indicators and frameworks developed or under development elsewhere; Development of a framework based on the above; Evaluation and testing of the framework across situations and geographies; Facilitation of two workshops. We identified: 1. A framework for illustrating social, economic and environmental impacts. 2. The range of social, economic and environmental indicators that illustrate the impacts of area designation (specifically National Nature Reserve; National Scenic Area; and Wild Land Area). 3. A range of social and economic indicators that illustrate the impact of SNH spend.
